Children are often more curious about small, colourful foods. Microgreens are tiny and mild, which makes them easy to introduce.

Start with the gentlest flavours. Sunflower and pea shoots are mild and slightly sweet, so they are a good place to begin.

Hide them in plain sight: tuck a few into a cheese sandwich, a paratha roll or a dosa, or blend them into a fruit smoothie.

Let kids help. Washing the greens, snipping them with clean scissors or sprinkling them on top gives them a sense of ownership.

Keep portions small and relaxed. Every child is different, so offer them regularly without pressure.
