The life of a microgreen

From seed to harvest

Chapter 01 · The seed

It begins with a single seed.

Chosen for flavour, sown edge to edge in a clean tray. Nothing else goes in.

Bathukamma

Telangana's festival of flowers deserves the brightest plate: violet, green and pink microgreens for every evening's spread.

Why microgreens?

A young green, packed with intention

  1. Harvested at the peak moment

Microgreens are young edible plants, harvested just days after germination — before they become the sprouts or full vegetables you already know.

  2. Not the same as sprouts

Unlike sprouts (grown in water, eaten root and all), microgreens are grown in a medium and harvested above the soil line, then packed.

  3. Built for the Indian kitchen

A pinch on dal, a handful on dosa, a scoop in a sandwich — microgreens fold easily into meals you already cook.

Life on the tray

A little water,
a lot of care.

Clean water, good light and patience. That’s all it takes for leaves this crisp, this bright, and this full of flavour.

Why Greziva

Small greens, real benefits

We keep the journey short and the batches small, so what reaches your kitchen tastes the way a just-cut green should.

  • Backed by research

USDA scientists found most of 25 microgreen varieties held more vitamins and carotenoids than the mature leaves of the same plants (Xiao et al., 2012).

  • Fresh & flavourful

Vivid flavours — mild, peppery or tangy — that liven up familiar dishes.

  • Easy to add to meals

No prep needed. Rinse, and scatter over dal, dosa, salads or sandwiches.

  • Freshly harvested

Cut close to your delivery window, not weeks before it reaches a shelf.

  • Sustainable growing

Controlled, efficient growing conditions with mindful water and space use.

  • A variety of flavours

From mild sunflower to peppery radish — a spectrum to explore.

FAQ

Common questions

Something we haven’t covered? Our team is happy to help with delivery, subscriptions or choosing a variety.

Get in touch

How fresh are the microgreens on delivery?

We harvest each batch close to your delivery window, so the greens reach you soon after they are cut. Exact timing depends on your delivery zone and slot, shown at checkout.

Which pincodes do you deliver to?

Enter your pincode at checkout to check delivery availability. We currently deliver to 500085 and 500090 (Pragathi Nagar and Nizampet, Hyderabad).

Can I pause or skip a subscription week?

Yes — pause or skip any upcoming delivery from your account before the cutoff.

How long do microgreens stay fresh?

It depends on the variety and how they are stored. Keep them refrigerated in their original packaging and check the guidance printed on your pack. As a rule of thumb, enjoy them within a few days of delivery for the best taste and crunch.

What is the difference between a live tray and cut microgreens?

Cut microgreens are harvested and packed ready to eat. A live tray is delivered still growing in its medium, so you can snip what you need and keep the rest growing with regular care.

Do I need to wash microgreens before eating?

We recommend a gentle rinse in cool water just before you eat them, then patting them dry. Avoid washing the whole pack in advance, as extra moisture shortens their life.

Which days do you deliver?

Available delivery days and slots depend on your pincode and are shown at checkout.

How do I skip a delivery on my subscription?

Open your account, go to Subscriptions and choose the delivery you would like to skip or pause. Changes need to be made before the cutoff shown for that delivery.

What does your packaging look like?

Microgreens are packed in protective containers and sent in insulated packaging to keep them cool during delivery. Please refrigerate them as soon as they arrive.
